State must acknowledge sacrifices rendered by Karachi youth to restore peace

Karachi, June 20: Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Monday said when Karachi was under RAW control, a large number of youths who joined the state of Pakistan handed over huge caches of arms to the institutions for the sake of peace in the city.
These youths were highly valued then, but later on, when peace prevailed in the city, state officials forgot the sacrifices of these youths. The city is at peace today because of these boys who handed over huge caches of arms and were being labelled as terrorists, who had decided to forget the atrocities of the past and stood with the state. Now the state has to think about what it is doing to them. Every new officer who comes in takes out files in front of us. It seems that the institution has no policy or memory of its own, rather decisions are being taken on the basis of personal likes and dislikes. After all the sacrifices, a terrorist organisation TLP has been brought in from outside to kill the youth of the city. If we have to be shooted down, there should not be any need to bring someone from outside for this purpose. I would prefer to die at the hands of Altaf Hussain. Our endurance should not be tested further.
Tragedy of Pakka Qila. On May 26, 27, 1990, women who came out of the house with Qur’an on their heads to ask for milk for their children were shot and killed, PPP celebrated victory on their bodies. Their graves are at the gate of Pakka Qila. The Hyderabad tragedy of September 30, 1988 targeted several densely populated areas of the Urdu-speaking population in Hyderabad city and more than 300 people were killed. in dozens of places in Latifabad.
In the tragedy of Aligarh town on December 14, 1986, armed men kept throwing children in the fire for 6 to 7 hours. They kept burning houses, trampling on the dignity of women, the police did not arrive for hours.
There are hundreds of such incidents which led to the formation of MQM and Altaf Hussain, who asked people to buy arms by selling the radio, TV. the state did not fulfill its responsibility then and the muhajirs were forced to take up arms to fight for their survival. Urdu speakers were not terrorists, they were victims of state oppression.
Today, the officers who shows the JIT of the muhajir boys should give answers to us as to which culprits of these tragedies has been brought to justice, the answer is none!
He said PTI was imposed in Karachi in 2018, now a banned organization TLP is being imposed by giving arms. After the 2018 bad experience, we created software to prevent our votes being stolen. We used this software in NA 249 and Cantonment with a difference of 50 votes between the result and scientific results. Pak Sarzameen Party got 13927 votes in recent by election on NA 240 constituency. We have our voter ID card numbers, polling stations, polling booths and voting time. To which I say with a challenge that I will present each of them with an identity card.
People appreciated our 2 months coordination campaign in Landhi, Opponents also welcomed.
Pakistan is going through an economically critical period in which the interests of economic lifeline is being compromised. My comrade was martyred and many got injured and the houses of my comrades are being raided. Police is conducting the operation, they must show a video or photo of a PSP boy with a weapon. I ask General Bajwa to stop all this or else accept that all this is happening according to his will. We are not begging anyone for any favour, we are simply asking for justice. We have decided that we will not allow any terrorist to occupy this city. Now there are no compulsions. If there is destruction in this city then not the city but the country will be destroyed. Let the people of this city take decisions to the best of its interests. don’t try new experiment every time.
He expressed these views while addressing a general workers meeting outside Pakistan House. He further said that Karachi was termed as Occupied Karachi. The army operation had been going on for 35 years and people had not stopped dying. On an average, 22 people were killed every day till a few years back . Kamal said as long as he remained associated with Altaf Hussain, he remained with complete conviction but when it was revealed by Altaf Hussain himself that for the past 23 years, he had been receiving funds from RAW, I left the post and Altaf’s party. It was at our request, that the youth of Karachi surrendered huge caches of arms to law enforcing agencies. Media highlighted this fact.
Whenever the struggle for Kashmir’s independence gained momentum, the situation in Karachi deteriorated. He asked the state to give a chance to the youth of Karachi just like giving a chance to the youth of Balochistan and KPK.
Those who run the affairs of state themselves believed that the operation never brought peace. It was through our struggle, all nationalities came under the banner and ideology of Pak Sarzameen Party. Not a single body of muhajir youth is being hurried at shohada’ Cemetery in the last six years.
Today they forgot our sacrifices, when these youth have decided to surrender and stand with the state, the state officials still viewed with suspicion as whether they have mended their ways or not. They still have a red line on the names. Islam also commands us to forgive the past and move on.
When Allah (swt) accepted the prayer of Prophet Muhammad (sws) in favor of Hazrat Umar bin Khattab, but not in favour of Umar bin Hasham Abu Jehel, no JIT for Hazrat Umar bin Khattab was made. History witnessed that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab raised the flag of Islam on six continents. Before embracing Islam, Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed was the cause of the defeat of the Muslims in the battle of Uhud. When he became Muslims, the Muslims did not make any JIT of him. Later he got the title of Saifullah. Quaid-e-Azam was in the Hindu party Congress. When he joined the Muslim League, the Muslims did not form his JIT. Later Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah became the father of the nation. When Allama Iqbal dreamed of Pakistan, he was not asked that you were the same poet who used to praise India and India was your homeland.
Our endurance should not be tested further. Chairman PSP Syed Mustafa Kamal in the beginning of his speech prayed for the elevation of ranks of Pak Sarzameen Party’s martyred worker Saifuddin and for the patience of his family. On the night of the incident, a delegation of Mohajir Qaumi Movement came and condole with us later they attended the funeral. I also thank MQM MNA Abu Bakar for standing by us in hour of need. Before our arrival, areas of the city were divided, we did not create PSP because the MQM was to be defeated, but the MQM was part of every government, yet the citizens longed for basic amenities.
We created the PSP for the sake of my city and my country. During my mayorship period, Karachi was amongst the 12 fastest growing cities in the world. In 2018, Arshad Vohra and I were leading with good numbers. The results were on TV. After the RTS system collapsed, and for three days the results of Karachi did not come, 14 seats of Karachi were given to PTI. PPP and PTI have decided to play a tournament of words only but not to oppose each other in reality. MQM was included in the government. I would like to thank the DG Rangers for providing assistance to the victims.
There should be an investigation into who decided that Rangers should not be stationed at the polling station. Police have not made any contact so far, only it is making arrests. On this occasion party president Anis Qaim Khani said that Lahore is also our city but Karachi is my home and we are aware of its doors and walls. Our worker was martyred and the Joint Secretary was shot twice. Chairman PSP Syed Mustafa Kamal himself was injured but it’s us who are being accused by politicised police. That’s not on!
