PSP all set to hold mammoth rally, demonstration

Karachi, January 16: Pak Sarzameen Party is all set to hold a grand protest rally and demonstration today (Sunday, January 17, 2021) against the final approval of the controversial census results by the federal government.

In this regard, PSP Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal and President Anis Kaim Khani visited the rally site – Shahra-e-Faisal opposite Nursery Bus Stop and reviewed the arrangements on Saturday.

Vice Chairman Shabbir Kaim Khani, Secretary General Hassnain Sabir, Secretary Finance Syed Shakir Ali and members of the Central Executive Committee and National Council were also present on the occasion.

Kamal said that Karachi is not a city of any single ethnic group, religion or sect but of all sub-nationalities, religions and schools of thought.

Karachi is home to everyone, every individual living here belongs to Karachi. It is the duty of every citizen now to protest against oppression against Karachi. Residents of Karachi should fully participate in the protest rally of PSP.

PSP chairman further said that Karachi gives 95% and 70% revenue to Sindh, and Pakistan, respectively,  yet the port city  is not given its due share.

Even the census has been subjected to hypocritical politics. However he vowed that  PSP will not let the political hypocrites to malign the census results anymore . Kamal said that his party has already written a letter to the honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan urging him to take notice against the wrong census, if the Chief Justice only asks for NADRA data, we will get the accurate results.

In addition, PSP Central Executive Committee, National Council members and other  office bearers distributed handbills in different areas and markets and invited people to participate in the rally.
