Press Release
Karachi, March 18: Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Friday said that despite our sheer differences with Imran Khan and his party, if Imran Khan-led federal government’s alternative is PPP, and MQM in Sindh, then our moral support goes with Imran Khan and his government.
Sindh was destroyed by the PPP. MQM which has been claiming to get urban rights from the PPP for 40 years, is today joining hands with the same PPP to overthrow the federal government for the sake of its ministries and cases.
Imran Khan should understand that MQM which he used to call as Nafees, and didn’t took any action against the rampant corruption of its Mayor, is not only now standing with Fazlur Rehman, and Zardari to oust the Imran Khan’s government, but also openly sharing this conspiracy through media.
In 40 years, the MQM has pushed muhajirs into the abyss. Today, it is meeting Zardari to save itself and its corruption. I have been watching everything silently for many days to see what is MQM asking for? Is the MQM demanding the three constitutional amendments proposed by the PSP, which are essential for the security and development of Pakistan? No, they are only begging to open their offices, seeking ministries, governor slot, and demanding to withdraw their criminal cases.
He expressed these views in a video statement released on social media while discussing the current political situation. He further said that apart from the three constitutional amendments proposed by the PSP, there was no other way for the survival, security and development of Pakistan. Under the three constitutional amendments, first of all, the way the provinces get money from the federation, the money should go from the provinces to the lower level. It should be written in the constitution. The entire system of local government should be written in the constitution. Elections to the National and Provincial Assemblies should not take place as long as there is no local government system, and it should also be written in the constitution.
